Image thumbnails have always been widely used for Directory Offers and Vouchers in Coupon Reach, but if you don't want to use a video thumbnail, then you can 100% do that.

Before anything else, Coupon Reach supports YouTube and Vimeo videos for Offers and Images. If you don't want to use YouTube or Vimeo, you'll need to use another Video Cloud app to upload your video and create a custom embed code. This article goes over how you can use a YouTube or a Vimeo video as the offer or voucher's thumbnail.

  • To start, go ahead and edit the Offer or Voucher that you'd like to use the video for (Offers section for Directory Offers, Voucher List for Directory Vouchers).

Offers:

Directory Vouchers:

  • Next, grab the URL of the YouTube or Vimeo video that you'd like to use for that Offer or Voucher. For Youtube videos, the video must be publicly published. Copy its Video URL by right-clicking on the video first while being played. For Vimeo videos, the video must also be publicly published. Grab its Share Link (Click on the Share button and click on the Copy Link button)

YouTube:

Vimeo:

  • In the Offer or Voucher that you're editing, scroll down a bit and look for for the option called Enable Video. Enable it and select YouTube/Vimeo then paste the URL of the video that you copied in the URL field.
  • If desired, you can enable the options Auto Play and Video Loop. Auto Play makes the video automatically play when the Directory is opened. Video Loop sets a loop for the video when played, so it'll keep playing in a loop until manually stopped.

Save the changes and check the Directory where the offer or voucher is assigned. You should see the video as the offer/directory's thumbnail.
