Generally, NO. In order for the phone number to be able to send text messages from GHL (or even any other softwares that use SMS APIs), you need to register that number for A2P 10DLC. A2P 10DLC registration is tied to a specific business entity (the "Brand") and its associated use case (the "Campaign").

1. A2P 10DLC Registration is Business-Specific

  • Each A2P-registered number is tied to a specific business (via its EIN or business info), campaign, and use case.

  • The number is linked to the brand and campaign in The Campaign Registry (TCR), which monitors compliance and spam prevention.

2. One Number = One Brand + Use Case

  • You can’t legally or technically reassign the same number to another business unless they are under the same legal entity (same EIN) and share the same messaging use case.

  • If your new business is a separate legal entity, it needs its own A2P registration and dedicated number.

Important Note:

You can only submit up to one (1) A2P 10DLC registration in a GHL subaccount. If you need A2P for another business, you need to create a new GHL sub-account for that business if you have an Agency GHL account.

If you use a subaccount within the MLA Agency, you can reach out to support to verify if you can get a separate subaccount for your client or another business. Some Silos offer business control centers (or subaccounts for clients) for a reasonable monthly fee
