While it is possible, it's generally not recommended if the Silo consists of a set of custom values, workflows, email templates, and even funnels. A single business ideally has to have its own separate subaccount. We offer client accounts, or "business control centers" (a naming convention we have for subaccounts for clients), for some of our Silos. Feel free to ask support if you can get a separate subaccount for your Silo client and indicate which Silo you are implementing.
Notice:
If you're getting a separate subaccount for your client's business, you don't need to go through this article.
However, when desperately needed to implement a Silo for multiple clients in the same subaccount, you need to make sure that they have the following exclusively for them in the same subaccount:
- Custom Values
- Funnels (if there are any)
- Workflows
- Custom Fields
- GHL Phone Number/Toll-free Number
Important Steps:
1. Create separate folders for each business in the Workflows, Funnels, Custom Values, Custom Fields section. (Email templates if there are any)
2. You can duplicate any existing element (like a custom value) and rename it so that it can only be used for the business or client you intend it to be used for. For instance, if Business A uses a Custom Value named "Luigi Birthday Offer" for its coupon, you must create a separate coupon custom value for Business B, like "Gustaeu's Birthday Offer." Additionally, you can create a whole duplicate set of the custom values used for Business A and rename them for Business B. Each custom value has its own unique key. (i.e. Custom Value Name "Gustaeu's Birthday Offer," Custom Value Key = {{ custom_values.gustaeus_birthday_offer }}). You can then move the duplicate custom values to the custom values folder you created for Business B.
3. Duplicate the workflows and funnels, and then rename them for the other business as well.
4. Browse through the workflows and funnels of the other business and search for all custom values, then replace them with the custom values (key, i.e., {{ custom_values.gustaeus_birthday_offer }}) intended for the other business.
5. Another phone number must be set on the workflows of the other business as well. To select another GHL phone number as the from number of a workflow, edit the workflow and go to its Settings.
You should then see the From Number dropdown and select the number there that you intended to use for that busienss.
Setting up the above separately for each business is crucial to avoid mixing up business details and customers or leads across the multiple businesses. Imagine a customer receiving an offer or an email coming from another business. Overall, this is a technical and lengthy process itself, and that's one good reason to opt-in for a separate subaccount.
